Kronborg Castle

The Kronborg Castle is one of the most momemtous renaissance castles. Kronborg is most famous for Shakespeares drama of the Danish prince Hamlet. In the casemates of Kronborg sits the statue of Holger Danske in a subterranean air-raid shelter.

Fredensborg Castle

Placed by Lake Esrum, the Fredensborg Castle has for many years had special status as the regency royal families' perferred home. In spring of 2004 the crown prince and his princess moved info the "kancellihouse". Fredensborg Castle garden is one of the largest and most historical gardens of Denmark.

ARKEN Museum of modern art

As the newest museum for modern art in Denmark, ARKEN desires to put more effort info the newer and contemporary art.

Louisiana Museum of modern art

The museum was in 1958 founded by Knud W. Jensen, as an official institution. The collection of modern arts contains international artists such as Arp, Francis Bacon, Calder, Dubuffet, Max Ernst, Sam Francis, Giacometti, Kiefer, Henry Moore, Picasso, Rauschenberg and Warhol. Every year Louisiana shows between six and eight larger exhibitions of modern and contemporary art. 

Roskilde Cathedral

Roskilde Cathedral is an impressive building. The church has in hundreds of years been extended with towers, spires, porches and chapels. The cathedral has since approximately year 1400 been the preferred tomb of the Danish royal family.
